From a small village in Kankaniyur, Salem, a quiet boy carried a tradition older than history itself.

Mr. Rokeshwaran’s journey with Silambam began when he was just 12 years old, studying in 7th grade. What started as curiosity soon became a lifelong commitment to Tamil Nadu’s ancient martial art—Silambattam, a symbol of discipline, strength, and cultural pride.

For the next 9 years, he trained relentlessly—day after day—refining not just technique, but character. While many chased trends, he chose heritage. While many spoke, he practiced in silence.

In 2023, his dedication reached a new milestone when he successfully cleared the Silambam Judge Examination, earning the right to evaluate and guide others in the art. The same year, he took a bigger step—not for fame, but for the future—by founding “SangaTamil Silambam Academy”, a space where young hands could feel the goosebumps of tradition, courage, and identity.

His excellence soon echoed across arenas.
By defeating armed opponents using a single stick, he secured National Level Championship victories on 28 May 2023 and again on 28 July 2024—a rare feat that speaks volumes about his mastery.

Yet, inside the classroom, he remained the same—soft-spoken, humble, and unnoticed. For nearly three years of college life, he hid his extraordinary strength behind simplicity.

It was only on his 21st birthday 🎂 that we truly discovered the warrior within.

In 2025, history acknowledged what discipline had already proven—
Mr. Rokeshwaran entered the Jettle Book of Records for performing Silambam continuously for 1 hour and 30 minutes, etching his name into legacy.

This is not just a record.
